Total Brisbane French Festival gears up to celebrate Bastille Day

The best French food, wine, music, fashion and other products and services will be brought to the heart of Brisbane on the 11th and 12th of July, when the annual Total Brisbane French Festival French takes over South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt.

Now in its fifth year and proudly sponsored by Total, the Total Brisbane French Festival is one of the  largest cultural events in Australia, and is timed to celebrate France’s La Fête Nationale or Bastille Day which is held every 14th of July.

David Mendelson, Managing Director of Total E&P Australia, said: “There is a growing and dynamic French community in Brisbane, and the Brisbane French Festival, which is run by a group of dedicated volunteers, is a great way for everyone in Brisbane to enjoy all that French culture has to offer.”

“For Total, it’s great to be able to support such a vibrant community event. As a company, our French heritage means we support many French cultural events, and Brisbane is a key city for Total’s activities in Australia given we are a major partner in the Gladstone LNG project currently under construction and we have some onshore exploration interests in Queensland.”

The Festival is open from 9am to 10pm on Saturday, 12th of July, and 9am to 6pm on Sunday, 13th of July. More details on the Festival can be found at www.brisbanefrenchfestival.com.au.

Total is also proud to support other celebrations being held around Australia for Bastille Day, including events in Canberra, Darwin, Sydney and Melbourne.
